Here is what we have accomplished so far to combat the effects of the climate crisis:
- We initiated discussions with Councillor Layton on declaring a climate emergency which led to the collaboration with other climate action groups. The end result was unanimous adoption of the Climate Emergency Declaration by City Council in October 2019.
- After working with people from the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, we instigated discussions with other climate action groups which resulted in the endorsement of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty by Toronto City Council in June 2021.
